Suicide rates rising?

If you're dealing with increased stress lately, you are not alone. According to an article on psypost.org (linked here), suicide rates are projected to increase. This comes from unemployment related to the Covid-19 pandemic. Whether or not you believe the states were right to respond to the pandemic the way they have, the consequences remain. People are out of work, which leads to increased stress and increased suicide rates.

What can we do about it? Do we bury our head in the sand and hope it doesn't continue? By now I'm sure you know that answer is going to be a resounding "no." The answer is not in hiding from the problem, nor is it in merely telling people they shouldn't feel stressed. We need to address this by helping those dealing with these thoughts in overcoming them.

That is why Finding Your Personal Mission was written; to help those who are dealing with suicidal thoughts by providing them with the tools to overcome these thoughts without judgment. If you know someone who is dealing with suicidal thoughts, get them a copy of this book as well as one for yourself. Finding Your Personal Mission not only empowers the person dealing with these thoughts, but also their friends and family to help them come out on top and conquer suicide.
