Nineteen Years Later; What Have We Learned?
Nineteen years ago, our world changed in ways we are still discovering today. The United States came under attack, and we would be plunged into a war that was as unpopular as it was costly.
Nineteen years later, we are not the same nation we were before 9/11/2001. Are we a better nation? A worse nation? That is for you to decide.
One development that has come since that day nineteen years ago is an increased understanding of the American Warfighter and the struggles we endure.
Different numbers get discussed about the suicide rates among active duty military and veterans, but one common thread is prevalent. Whatever the numbers are, they are too high.
